At Sims Law Firm, Ltd., we recognize that the cost of attorney fees involved in any legal matter is a concern.
Typically in residential real estate transactions, some landlord/tenant matters, most transactional work, and certain aspects of recording a mechanic's lien, we charge a flat rate. That rate is determined by a variety of factors, including the complexity of the issue and the time frame in which the work needs to be completed.
On these matters, you will know the total attorney fees involved before we begin work on the matter. On many litigation matters, however, we charge by the hour for our services. In these matters we will discuss the litigation process with you, explain the various factors involved in each aspect of litigation, and to the extent possible, provide you with estimates as to the possible length of the litigation as well as the possible costs involved.
